Emergencies in orthodontics are extremely rare — but if you’re experiencing any problems with your orthodontic appliances, we’re here to help.

If you don’t see your issue listed, or require further assistance please contact us during our regular office hours at (253) 939-2552. If you are uncomfortable and require immediate after-hours assistance to resolve an urgent clinical issue please call our emergency care line at (253) 470-8388.
What is an orthodontic emergency?
Broken brackets, loose appliances, or poking wires are not considered emergencies. A true emergency is a problem causing severe discomfort that cannot wait until the next business day.
Minor issues — like loose brackets or bands, poking wires, broken or lost retainers or appliances, or questions about scheduling or billing — should be handled during our regular office hours.
If you experience a traumatic injury, car accident, sports accident, or severe pain that doesn’t directly involve your teeth, please go to the emergency room or contact your family dentist right away. For any severe pain or situations not mentioned above, you may need to call our office. If your teeth are injured or feel loose, contact us immediately!
