Let’s Start With the Invisalign Basics
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses clear, smooth plastic aligners to move your teeth into their ideal positions. One major advantage of Invisalign is that these aligners are nearly invisible, making them a fantastic option for people who don’t necessarily want everyone to know that they are undergoing treatment.
Another benefit for those who choose Invisalign treatment is that your aligners can be removed. While you must wear your aligners a minimum of 22 hours a day, you are able to remove them while you’re eating or drinking, swap them for a mouthguard when performing a physical activity, or even briefly for special occasions.
When Will my Treatment by Complete?
As your teeth gradually move into place, you will need new aligners. In fact, approximately every two weeks you’ll have new aligners to wear. The length of the entire process is comparable to traditional braces. The most important thing to remember is that the length of time you will have to undergo treatment depends largely on the complexity of your case. On average, you can expect your treatment to last anywhere between 12 to 24 months.

This is some great information, and I appreciate your point that you can remove your Invisalign to eat or drink. I’ve been thinking about getting orthodontic treatment to straighten my fairly crooked teeth, but I don’t want to have to limit what I can eat. I’ll definitely look into Invisalign so I can remove the aligners for meals so that isn’t a problem. Thanks for the great post!
Seems like Invisalign takes as long as most braces would. Except they do not look like normal braces. 12-14 months really is not that bad. I could live with that if I had a nice smile at the end.
I’ve heard about Invisalign, but I’ve never known exactly what it is. I didn’t know that it’s an orthodontic treatment that’s practically invisible! That seems like a good way to bypass the embarrassment of something like braces or retainers.
I’ve been curious about the process that happens when you get invisalign. It makes sense that you would need to have new aligners put in every couple of weeks! That way they can adjust them for how your teeth are moving.
Howdy! I just want to give you a huge thumbs up for your excellent info you
